Here is an expanded edition of the LP recorded in 1978 and originally released as "Buben." When later released on CD, in 1996, 12 additional duo performances were added to create "Buben...plus," which is what is presented here. The combined album alternates between '78 and '96 cuts, providing a chance to compare, contrast, and travel through time.

The "Buben" section of this disc (the even-numbered songs) was recorded in Wuppertal in May 1978 and released on LP (FMP 0530) the same year. These tracks feature Carl on concertina and Reichel on violin. The music is as it was on the original release, the tapes having neither been cut nor remixed.

The "plus" section (all titles with odd numbers) was recorded in Wuppertal on July 14th, 1994, featuring Carl on accordion and Reichel on the daxophone. All the tracks have been recorded as played.
